Our client, Flynn Restaurant Group, is the largest restaurant franchisee in the US, with over 1,245 restaurants, including Applebees, Panera and Taco Bells. At regular intervals, regional management makes the determination to give stores a fresh look with an internal face-lift. This is a challenging task when you run an active restaurant. Project objectives include not only a great finished product, but a work schedule that minimizes business disruption as much as possible. Brian led WJW’s best light construction team and coordinated a total team of 17 local and out of town tradesmen. Our team completed these projects in 10 consecutive days of night shifts (Midnight to 9 am) followed by a 60 hour shift, day and night, during which tasks were completed that required a full business shutdown. Scope of work included: refresh wood paneling, reconfigure the bar area and space above the bar, add new electrical fixtures and outlets throughout, install new light fixtures, repaint the ceiling, install a bar cloud for the lights to hang from, install 8 new televisions and artwork, fabricate and hang 11 new doors, and hang new wall paper. The best part? Lunch was served on schedule right after job completion!
